problem burning video onto a DVD

I have completed all the processes, including trim and cut, then when I try to burn onto a DVD nothing happens. I select the Export area but nothing happens and the burn button does not light up. I am sure I am missing one step but I don't know what that is.

What OS you are using? What application is being used for that?
Are you sure your burner works?
If running under Windows - Can you burn a CD/DVD using standard Windows tools only?

I am running Widows 10 the application is part of the Roxio system converting VHS tapes to DVD's. I just tried burning a CD/DVD and it did not work. This is a new computer still under the 30 days so I will take it in to see what the problem is with the burner. Thanks.

what blank dvd disk did you use?
what is the exact model of the dvd disk?
