Building first computer. MSI X870E motherboard with Noctua NH-D15 cooler. Installing the graphics card in the PCIe 5.0 slot puts the back of the card snuggly against the cooler. I am guessing this is not alright. I believe the cooler is mounted correctly. I don't think it can be rotated 90° and since it is nearly square, I don't think this would matter. (Saw something about rotating similar coolers to clear RAM sticks)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Not the best model; if you had gotten the G2 model, or the S model, those are offset to one side which you direct away from your gpu. If you look at the specs for the S model there's a clear picture showing how one side is further away than the other. But its not a serious problem. If you're concerned about vibrations between the 2 you could place a thin sheet layer of foam cushioning between the 2. Maybe your motherboard came with a layer of the stuff that you could cut up and tape to the side of one of the devices.
