Hello!
I have overclocked my Athlon 500 to 650 MHz. When I start my PC, it reboot itself 2 or 3 times while windows is starting. I changed the voltage step by step (0.05V increase) 1.6V to 1.8V, always the same problem continue.
Where is the solution???

Well, your problem could be a number of things and we'd need more information on your system to be specific.

I'd start with a statement that you are trying to be a little too ambitious right off. You are looking at a 30% oc rate. You need to do more than just raise the voltage to get this stable, you'll need to check your cooling, and probably uprate it etc.

Give us a few more details and we'll try to help. My first suggestion will be to try overclocking alittle bit first (leaving voltage default) and check you are getting any results!

Pete.

Info on my system:
Motherboard: FIC SD11 1.7
BIOS NC604
256 Mo RAM
Graphic card: NVIDIA TNT2 M64 32 Mo RAM
Windows Me
My CPU cooling is specified 500 to 800 MHz.

The big problem appears when I start the computer (it is cold).
When it is hot (after 1 or 2 hours) it is more stable, it just reboot a few times with 3D games.

Note: my CPU is a 500 MHZ but the core is a 550 MHz.

What TYPE/brand of RAM- this is one of the most important details! And what temps???
