Problem Printing Word 2003 Doc

I have gone through all the steps in the XP support page to troubleshoot my
printing problem nad have been unsuccesful. i am currently operating on XP
Home SP2 and utilizing MS office Pro 2003. Every program will print except
for Word. it goes to the printer control box but does not release to the
printer. My printer is a Epson R300 and connected via USB.
