Problem!Samsung VE20EO LCD TV won't start, no strange sounds, LED only YELLOW and ON always.

Hello to All DIY,

This LCD TV wont start when signal VGA cable is connected, or COAXIAL DVB-T, nothing happens with screen, no image at all, no strange sounds from behind, and front panel yellow LED is always ON. No motter what button you might press from the front panel nothing happens.

This display can be used for a lot of things and that comes from my 1st immpresion that display is OK, but something under in broken or damaged.

Can anyone share its opnion on this?

The TV has multiple input ports so my guess is you have to go in to the TV's setup menu >>> external inputs, then select the appropriate input from the menu (the TV can't switch to external input automatically unless you are using SCART socket for DVD player).

Once you've selected the appropriate input source from the TV menu, you should get display from PC.

I can't help you with COAXIAL DVB-T input though. If the source is a digital set-top box try using SCART cable instead.

I did just that, and still no change. No picture. This type of TV/Monitor doesnt come with remote. But something different can be noticed. When pressing power button on front panel YELLOW led blinks twice, a just for a second GREEN one, and in behing can be heard sound coming from inside built in speakers, just like POWER BOARD is in try to boot it up, but fails each time. All the time display is BLACK and no changes.

I was about to open it now and ispect inside, POWER BOARD 1st.

Hello again,

I m very sorry for false-alarming you.

The latest situation is like in the picture below.

After pressing power button on front panel with just VGA cable inserted, and chaning resolution on my PC image appeared, staedy and with no visible issues. No strange sounds from back of the TV.

It will work only on 800X600 resolution coming from Graphic card.

Main problem for me now, is how to get tunner to run my CABLE from CABLE TV OP trough visible frequencies so programmes can be remmemebred.

Its says like in pic2 below in service manual for this kind of device.
