yea..because we all know Online Petitions work...... -_-
seriously thought the 680i has been flawed since it came out and is probably one of the worse Chipsets to come out in a while...however even saying this the 680i is an enthusiasts chipset and most people who buy them are buying them to run Dual 8800GTXs....and most have figured out its quirks to get it to work correctly..
that being said most of the problems people are posting about it isn't the chipset anymore, its the 88xxx drivers running in SLI with Vista..which to this day still has lack luster support.
To the above illustrious members;
I welcome your thoughts on how those of us who are experiencing issues with our 680i motherboards might approach the situation differently?
BTW FatFunkey, from what I read, RAM is the most prevalent issue, not SLI.

its been almost anything and everything since the 680i came out..from the SATA RAID crapping out for no reason to memory, to SLI not working..the damn chipset has gremlins
@CompTIA_Rep,
I am sure nVidia already has an ample supply of toilet tissue!
@spaztic7,
Read the forums?
@niz,
I have had two Striker Extremes, neither would even POST. I sincerely wish you the best of luck and hope your board provides many years of flawless service.
For a thread about how the 680i is having problems.... I find it sad that you wont say this "issues" that it is having. Maybe it isnt the board but the user?
Niz... I find your avatar, icon, thing memorizing.....
I would invite you read through the various forums, or not, as is your wish.
I believe you have an eVGA 680i; if you have no issues, this thread holds no interest for you, but I wish you continued problem free computing.
I also have an extreme striker...running sli 8800 gts 320's...but I bought the qvl listed ram (corsair twinmx 2 @800) and no problems so far...although I did ONCE get a BSOD...maybe it is an omen?
I hope no more problems...BTW I will not run Vista until they fix the silly SLI issue with better drivers...I do not run raid so I might be avoiding that issue, and I do not OC my e6750 CPU...

I don't want to risk it haha.
My first AR EVGA 680iSLI version killed 2 pairs of Dominator XMS2 sticks, even at default speed...., however it really liked Patriot Extreme's??? It was a voltage problem. (BSOD with mem reference IS an omen)
I now have the A1 version, quads OC stable and mem is stable over 3 mo....,
They are OC, enthusiast boards, high FSB, voltages, timings, if you don't know what you're doing, your going to kill it (them).
