Hello.

New PC and I pair my Minirig 3 speaker to the system. First night OK. Next day, the minirig will not work. Minirig advise to unpair the device and start again. Problem is, the minirig will not unpair. Everytime I try I get "unpair rejected". Went online for help and read that I should remove from services. AND. I have lost all the on-board sound as well.

I went into services and the minirig is a hidden service? I unhid and removed the three bluetooth services, reboot, and the damn minirig is still there. No services. I paired a different speaker and tested it and it worked. Went into services and removed the services to that speaker and the speaker was removed from the bluetooth devices table.

What has minirig done please. How has it embedded itself into my system so that I am unable to remove it ? Is this going to be registry edit ?
I have only had the PC for a week and I have to fix it already.

could try running system restore and see if you have a restore point before installing speakers
type "restore" then open "create a restore point"
create a new Restore Point now for C-drive
then open the newest restore point that is prior to the problem happening (if you have one)

you create a restore point now just in case there isn't one already. There should be one made before drivers are installed.

did you reset the minirig?

or maybe the safe mode method although way to get there in 11 is

  1. go to settings/system/recovery
  2. advanced startup/restart now
  3. this...

  4. choose troubleshoot
  5. choose advanced
  6. choose startup options
  7. click the restart button
  8. choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
  9. Pc will restart and load safe mode

Thanks. I was thinking along the lines of a restore. I bought the machine off MESH and I am sure they would have set a restore when testing the machine. This is my job tonight. Thanks for the links. Shame I have to do this. Minirig is a fantastic speaker - crap bluetooth.
