Hello I'm having some trouble with my Alienware x51 desktop. There are two incidents that I need help with.
1). about a month ago my PC crashed and would not turn back on. Before it crashed I was watching some youtube videos and then left the room for a few minutes, came back and found it had shut itself down. Pressing the power button did nothing, it would not turn on.
I opened it up and tried replacing some of the hardware. eventually I uninstalled the graphics drivers and replaced the Nvidia 760 for an old 460 and that seemed to do the trick.
2) I hadn't been using my computer for much other than internet browsing for a while until recently I started playing Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. I've played it for several hours without issue until today.
While playing the game the entire PC froze and the system fans went crazy. No key presses worked and I let it sit there for several minutes waiting to see if it would crash or fix itself. Eventually the fans returned to normal but the PC remained frozen so I did a hard reset.
After restarting the PC everything seemed normal except that as I googled for solutions to this problem I would get small black boxes that popped up whenever I hovered the mouse over a link. These went away after only a minute or so.
The computer is about only 15 months old and I really have no idea what could be causing these problems and google has found nothing. Please help!
