Problem with Assassin's Creed III Steam Version

I just recently bought Assassin's Creed III on Steam just because it was $5.00

I was so disappointed when I tried to launch the game, it wouldn't launch, even with Uplay already in the background. Any ideas on how to fix this? This is quite annoying, Uplay's DRM.
