Problem with Benq XL2420z monitor

Hello, i recently got my benq xl2420z 144hz monitor, but i got a single link DVI cable, when i try changing refresh rates to 144hz, it changes to a blurry screen and a error pops out "incorrect cable, please connect the dual link dvi cable that came with your monitor) as i said, i received single link and a vga cable with it. Now i ordered a dual link dvi cable off amazon and same problem, it detects it as single link cable, whats wrong?

gosh, i actually got a fake dual link dvi cable, cut it open and found only 14 connecting wires 😡

This is the cable i bought, the cable that came with my Benq XL2720Z was lost when moving but i tried many Dual link cables and this seems to be the best one in value, quality and performance.

It comes in an anti-static plastic bag, and you could choose the length that suites your needs.
