Problem with bf4

When i join a server on battle log and click the bf4 icon on the bottom bar my screen turns off for 2 seconds then says my input on screen. This happens when i close or open battlefield and even in the middle of games sometimes which gets me killed. any suggestions?

What OS are you running it on?
I have Windows 8 64 bit and when I installed BF4, it created two shortcuts; BF4 and BF4 (64 bit). I use to play on the 64 bit version but then it began to be weird and crash. So now I play on the normal one and do just fine.

Maybe that is the problem for you? (pending on whether or not your system is 64 bit! Taha)

Sorry, the two icons were displayed as x86, and x64.

In Origin, if you right click BF4 > Show Game Details > Launch Options, it'll show those two options.
Edit > 'When launching this game', set it to x86, apply.

Launch the game and see if that fixes the problem.

If not, is it your monitor?

Maybe try a 'repair install'/clean reinstall of the game? That's what I would do (if you're patient!)
