So I orginally posted on Reddit buildpc about my temps being, idle:40, stress test very high - 70. I thought maybe my thermal paste wasn't put on correctly. SoI went ahead and removed the cpu cooler, EVO 212, and looked. It seemed pretty well layered and spread out!
So now I cleaned it off, put some new thermal paste on (this time I thought I did it much better). And now my idle is at 42-43 and my very high stress test is at 77!
I stopped the high stress test, my CPU #0 - 3: 37, 30, 33, 28. Is my 0 cpu not covered in thermal paste? I did the pea technique btw.
I don't know what to do from here? Is this part of the thermal paste settling in or something? Should I try again? Could I have used too much paste?
Edit: Forgot to put my cpu type: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor. Using cooler master hyper evo 212.
