GeForce® GTX 1060 WINDFORCE OC 3G
Intel Core i5-4590 @ 3.30GHz
16 GB RAM
Windows 7
I am having a problem with connecting my recently bought 27" ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-MHD Gaming monitor with Displayport. Whenever I connect it, I get "no signal" and then the screen goes black. HDMI works just fine, but when they are both connected, neither will work.
It seems like my PC can detect the connection, since it is possible to change the input from HDMI to DP, but when I attempt to try that, I get the same result as before.
I have tried multiple fixes like updating my GPU drivers, making sure its plugged correctly, installing Nvidia firmware update, but nothing seemed to work. I am suspecting that something may be wrong with the port on the GPU, I'll try to test that tomorrow.
Are there any fixes that I can try? If my GPU port is really broken, would using DP → HDMI adapter impact the performance of the monitor?
Thanks
