Problem with FPS

I just bought a new gaming laptop yesterday and ran Minecraft for 3 hours. During all that time I hit about 200-300 fps (VSync Off) depending on the server. Today I opened Minecraft and it only reaches 30 fps. None of the settings changed, what do I do?

Here are the specs:

I updated the drivers and now it hovers between 90-120 but it falls down to 40-60, but shouldn't these specs run vanilla Minecraft on at least 150fps?

MERGED QUESTION
Question from xxrubymlgxx2 : "Problems with FPS"

I bought an ASUS GL503GE-EN073T yesterday (Specs:https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/asus-gl503ge-en073t-scar-edition-1560-full-hd-intel-core-i7-8750h-16gb-ssd-sshd-notebooks-7953512 or https://www.cyprus-pc.com/asus-gaming-rog-strix-gl503ge-en073t-cyprus.html) and I've been having problems with my fps. I'll be playing CSGO on a solid 100-150 fps and Fortnite on 70-100 and a few hours later I play the same games and my FPS drops significantly (CSGO goes at about 30 most of the time and randomly goes up to 100 for a few moments only to fall back down again. Same with Fortnite which stays at roughly 20-45 fps). I have no idea what triggers this or how to fix it. I installed the latest drivers, turned VSync off, turn all the settings to medium, made sure to use the Nvidia card on all games but I have no control over it.

I really need help, does someone know I can fix this problem so my FPS stays high?
