I just bought a msi 970a g46 board and it has a hd audio panel on the board. I plugged in my front panel audio jack but no headphone detection taking place. then i updated the audio drivers, after update the headphone icon was not showing in the audio devices menu.....
there is no setting on bios for ac'97 only hd audio....
What should i do.........

Help please......

There is no ac97 because it is advanced 8 channel realtek. The header is keyed so I don't know you could have connected it wrong. Do you have the realtek audio manager running down by the clock? Also make sure that some hdmi audio from your video card is not set as the default.

i disabled front audio jack detection in realtek audio manager.. now headphones are working but back panel and front panel working as a single unit....Means i have to turn off my speakers in order to use headphone.... and the quality on headphone is also bad...

I have a standard case . Can you recommend me a ATX case with hd audio connector.?
my budget is Rs3000-5000 (50$to80$).
