Hello guys im struggling with my new pc and i decided to ask you if i can do something,
my pc specs are :
Processor: Intel i5 8400
Motherboard : Asus h370m-prime-plus
Ram : Kingston hyperx 2666-DDR4
SSD : Samsung Evo
HDD : 250GB Laptop harddrive Samsung
Grafics card used when installing windows ( nvidia geforce gtx 670 gainward phantom 2gb 256bits)

i got a good offer and i decided to sell my graphic card GTX670 Gainward phantom and buy a new one in 20-30days (gtx 1080)

The problem is, i placed my old old old Sapphire radeon hd6770 vapor-x 1gb 128bits in my computer to run some diablo, fortnite light games, and i have no signal on my monitor .... Not even showing BIOS Press f2 bla bla bla..... after many restarts and using Onboard video output it shows at the start of computer VGA CARD NOT SUPPORTED BY UEFI DRIVER. ( i have changed all the settings in bios to legacy mode etc.. CSM mode etc etc, )

Ok, my question is, IF I delete my windows and try to install it on LEGACY mode not UEFI, sapphire radeon 6770 will work ? or its just not compatible with my motherboard ?

Solution
There is a such thing as an incompatible gpu. It won't work on that pc, ever. Remember any kid and their uncle can post on the internet. It doesn't make what they say true.

its working on a potato pc, i tried 3 different old cards, all working on potato pc, not working on my new pc

Did you uninstall the GTX 670 drivers before removing the card, You should use the onboard card and remove the 6770, then install Display Driver Uninstaller and uninstall the drivers of the GTX 670, then try booting with the 6770

dont forget! im getting NO SIGNAL even after restarting pc, i cant go on BIOS settings with this HD6770, computer can be affected by drivers or Windows uefi on booting ?

Get into safe mood windows if you can get bios you can get safe mode uninstall the drivers for old video card. Restart swap in new card.

And or get the drivers. (Else where) then boot safe uninstall old drivers use new ones.

If on-board boots bios use it to get safe mode if old video card gets to bios use it. Ether way you need safe mode

i removed all traces of any video drivers, i just want to know, if i reinstall windows will it work ? drivers can affect NO signal even when trying to go on bios ?

Before reinstalling Windows in legacy mode, just change it in the bios first and see if you get a post then. If it post's then proceed to reinstall Windows if Windows doesn't boot with change of boot table. The gpu being legacy is probably the reason you're getting no display at all.

Also try disable secure boot as well after changing bios to legacy boot.

no signal everywhere, i cant go on BIOs with RAdeon hd6770.

i disabled fastboot, secureboot, CSM, i tried all the options on bios.. and ok, if the gpu its LEGACY because its old card, there is no way to run it on this pc ?

exactly! that was my main question if drivers or windows installed on UEFI Mode can stop my videocard from displaying bios..? so that means ill never use this videocard again ?

i am confused because our buddy FROS78 said, there is no such INCOMPATIBLE Videocard. whats the final answer guys ?
can i make it work and display something or il just throw it away and use onboard video for a few days ?

FROS , my videocard its not displaying BIOS! WIndows settings cant affect my VIDEO-Card from displaying bios.....:pt1cable:

There is such thing is incompatible bios used on older graphics cards. Legacy or Uefi. Older Amd cards are known afaik to be terrible on newer platforms. Nvidia can be more forgiving.

Imo waiting few more days and not reinstalling Windows again even if you got the amd card working would be worth it. You'd have to reinstall Windows again for when the new card arrives.

this is what im gonna do, use it onboard, when new gpu arrives, reinstall fresh windows!
