Question Problem with GPU usage playing games and using taskbar.

I have a problem with games being hard to shut down. Particularly after stuttering.
All games show the problem when I use taskbar.
If the link above works you should see a massive power use for my Asus 980 Strix.
It runs fine at 144 FPS so I have plenty of punch. And the heat levels have not gon above 68C for CPU and about 47 for GPU.
I asked in OCC with 98 views but no replies.
Hoping somebody has an idea what is working.

Corsair 850 X as far as I can see. Been around for about ten years.

Last night heard the fan in the PSU running. First time I actually saw it running.
