Problem with GTX 950 installation

So I recently won a EVGA GTX 950 gpu and I tried installing it into my current set up.

Current set up
AMD FX 6350
Asus m5a97 le r2.0
Asus GTX 650
Vulcan 8gb ddr3 ram
700W power supply (forgot the name)
kingston hyperx 120gb ssd

The problem is when I plug in the gpu and the 8pin power (6pin + 2 pin) and i boot the system, the fans would run but my monitor would have no signal. I tried reinstalling the gpu and what not but to no avail.

I dont know if the gpu is broken or what because I just put my old gpu in and everything works fine.

Note: I uninstalled all old drivers before attempting to install the new gpu.

Try to connect the vga/hdmi cable to your motherboard instead of your gpu.Download the drivers and then connect it to the gpu.

I cant connect vga/hdmi to my mobo since it doesnt have those connections.

I have the same problem with an MSI gtx 950 Gaming but instead of a 6 + 2 pin i have only 6 pin connector.
My pc wont boot after changing my 560TI with the 950.
