My name is Manish and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. It appears to be an issue with HDD partition not done correctly. Please follow below mentioned troubleshooting steps to help you resolve this issue
1. Go to Start and right click on My Computer
2. Click on Manage
3. You will see Computer Management window
4. On the extreme left under storage column please look for Disk Management option
5. Double Click on Disk Management and you will see a Disk Management window
6. On the right side you will see Unallocated
7. Please do a right click on Unallocated and click New Simple volume
8. Keep hitting Next and finally click on finish. A new partition will be created and you will be able to see the space in My Computer

The OP doesn't want a second partition, just one large one. He needs to extend his first partition.
