Problem with Hp scanjet 3500c

I have an Hp scanjet 3500c scanner and my computer runs Windows 8.1 i know that it's an old scanner but atm cant buy a new one cause i spent my money on new desktop.I still have the cd rom drivers but they are not compatible at Windows 8.1 is there any way my scanner to be recognized by system ( i need it for my work till i get a new one )

Did you look for drivers at HP site ? or a place like this: http://www.driverscape.com/download/hp-scanjet-3500c-series
