Problem with killer networks driver

I have the msi z97-gaming 3 motherboard, and the first 6 months i had it, there was no problem with it, but then i upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8, and then suddanly it seems like the killer networks driver no longer is on the disc that i got with the motherboard with all the drivers, so basically i its almost like if my ethernet connection point on the motherboard is defekt. When i try to install the driver through MSI webpage, i get an error and it says that i dont have the right qualcomn atheros software, what is the problem, ive been struggeling with this for so long now and im tired of using this crappy wireless internett.
