Recently I purchased a Linksys AE3000 wireless adapter which connects to my Linksys EA6200 router. But every 5 to 10 minutes or so the Internet pauses for a bit. Everything freezes in an online game or a web page will take a little bit longer to load. Sometimes it will disconnect me from the Internet altogether, and reconnects a few moments later.
Previously I used a cheap, no-name brand adapter to connect to the router and it disconnected me usually once or twice a day so I upgraded it to the AE3000 but now the problem seems to be worse.
I've tried every possible channel, I've changed the security mode, and I've reset the router to the factory defaults and nothing has fixed the issue.
I was using a 2.4ghz connection but I changed it to a 5ghz. My speeds went up but the issue remains.
I don't think it's my Internet at fault - my wired computer stays online all the time, but not the wireless.
In case it's of any assistance, my Internet is through Comcast, and Speedtest.net has my download speed at 28+mbps, 5+mbps for my upload and my ping is 17ms.
I really don't want to have to return my AE3000 and go back to my old no-name adapter. If anyone can help me out it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
