Question Problem with m2 ssd

Hi i recently bought a samsung 980 1tb m2 NVMe ssd drive and tried installing it in my gigabyte b365m ds3h motherboard but after install pc doesnt boot even to bios and just beeps 5 times. When i took out the ssd i had to manually reset bios by holding the power switch to turn on the pc can someone help

Can you get into BIOS after BIOS reset?

What BIOS version are you using?
Try updating BIOS to latest version.

Yes i can. I also updated bios to newest b7 version

with 980 installed you can not get into BIOS and
with 980 removed you get into BIOS just fine.
Correct?

That seems like some compatibility issue with your board and this particular SSD model.
Return it and get a different model. 970 Evo - for example.

BTW - are you sure SSD is installed properly?
Gold contacts on M.2 drive should not be visible, if it is installed properly.

Thats correct. I thought it may be compatibility issue but on the motherboards manual it says ""1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 SATA and PCIex4/x2 SSD support)""

yes also the ssd fits perfectly screwed on the last bolt

Also i checked the support list of the gigabyte b365m ds3h and there is samsung 980 1tb so i dont know what to do
