problem with my hdd please help!.

hey guys my HDD makes me frustrated whenever i want copy something from my local disk to another local disk in same internal HDD my storage suddenly reduces by some GB(double the size of the original files) if i cancelled the task its restore to its original size no matter its copy moving or installing, this happens to all my local disks if you answer then it will be appreciate

my specs are
Intel core i3 6100
8 GB ddr4 kingston hyperx fury
gigabyte h110 mobo
GPU GTX 960 asus strix 2gb ddr5
HDD Seagate barracuda 500GB 7200rpm

copying between 2 drives/partitions inside one disk, or copying between 2 physical disks???

I mean different local drives in a same HDD for example local disk G to local disk D.

does any of this drive has windows installed???
also try to run chkdsk /f n see if it makes any difference...

this is a very powerful tool and fixes most disk issues unless d disk is unrepairable and dying...
but u need to have d full version...

Thanks guys I run the HDsentinal but still no luck and then i backed up my entire data and format every partition on the hdd and voila! No more problems and errors it seems like my problem is due to some software or virus maybe.
But thanks guys for helping me out
