Problem with my internet adapter?

Hello,
Not sure if this is the place to ask about this sort of thing but here goes. I recently bought the "BrosTrend AC1200 WiFi USB 3.0 Adapter" It works well but I've noticed that for example when watching a stream it will stop suddenly and buffer for like half a second perhaps a little more. This wouldn't be a weird thing to think about if it was just that. But also in a couple of online games I've been playing I've just suddenly been disconnected from the games I was in, for example Overwatch, I'm just kicked the login screen randomly sometimes with an error sometimes not. You'd think that maybe it was a problem with my internet but I can use my old USB internet adapter and not get kicked from the games randomly with no warning.

I've tried reinstalling it's drivers and other such fixes with no success. So i'm just wondering what the problem is and why it's doing this and if there is a possible fix or if my computer simply doesn't like the adapter.

Connect with ethernet cable.
Wifi can get influenced by various kinds of interference - microwave ovens, neighboring wifi networks on the same channel and more.
It's not the most reliable connection kind.

First I'd make sure you're running the latest firmware/drivers for it. There may be an issue with earlier versions.

It can also have issues with how particular the antenna is on positioning. I've had some wifi adapters be happy with any position, and some that had to be exactly positioned to get a steady signal. Since this adapter comes with an extension (or at least the website shows one), try playing with the positioning.

Also see if the software will let you select which channel it's running on. Like SkyNetRishing said, wifi gets a ton of competing signals and is blocked by all sorts of things, water pipes and people being the big two things. So see if you can get on a less populated channel.

I'd also suggest looking in to options that aren't wireless. I'm guessing since you've been using wireless for a while that simply connecting an ethernet cable to the home router isn't an option. What might work for you is Ethernet over Powerline. It allows you to run your network through your home wiring and avoid a lot of the issues of wifi. I use the Zyxel AV2000 PLA5456KIT with my HTPC and get near the speed and latency of being directly wired to the router.
