Hey guys, I recently purchased parts from Newegg and attempted to do an external build last night to test the mobo, psu, gpu, and ram to see if it's working before I put it into the case.
And that's where I'm having issues...
Here's the parts:
Motherboard:
ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP LGA 1155 Intel H77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157302
CPU:
Intel Core i3-3220 Ivy Bridge 3.3GHz LGA 1155 55W Dual-Core
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116775
GPU:
MSI R7850 PE 2GD5/OC Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127688
Memory:
CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1333C9
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145315
PSU:
Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W Continuous @40°C, 80 PLUS Certified, Single 12V Rail

Got everything installed to the Mobo, plugged in the PSU to the two pins on the mobo and the one on the GPU. Everything turned on, fans running, LED on the GPU turned on.
But when I plugged it into the monitor, nothing came up. Tried using both the HDMI and DVI, plugged it into my monitor and then my TV and nothing came up. No BIOS, nothing.
Then tried to hook up the HDMI from the mobo's onboard gpu and still nothing. Not on the tv nor the monitor.
So what am I doing wrong? This is my first build so I'm obviously in over my head a little bit, but I watched the Newegg computer build video and followed everything step by step.
Could it be that I have a faulty Motherboard? Is my PSU not strong enough to support the build? Is the RAM not compatible?
I'm at a loss right now and if you guys could help me figure this out so I'm not out $700 with no PC, I'd REALLY appreciate it.
Thanks guys.
