Thanks a lot for replying.Did you check what RAM is supported? Also what version of windows are you running? 32 or 64 bit?
But does the board support 8GB sticks? Thanks a lot for replying.
My windows run on 64-bit windows 10.
And my pc supports 1333mhz but I knew the pc will automatically downclock the new 1600mhz ram for me
Pls yes my board support 8gb sticksBut does the board support 8GB sticks?
I support thisDid you take the old RAM out?
Google MemTest, it can test the new RAM without needing to load Windows.
Yes I took the old one out.Did you take the old RAM out?

By Google I mean search for MemTest, you will find it.Yes I took the old one out.
How do I do the Google mem test
OK tnx a lot I will do it tonight. If I have any problems I will notify you. After changing memory, I'd strongly recommend running memtest86 for 10+ hours to see if the memory might have issues. Any errors there would indicate a problem either with the memory chips themselves (errors that appear to affect specific bits at specific addresses) or the memory bus (errors follow a given address line or affect the same data bit(s) regardless of address.)
OH OK I will try downclocking my ram.You can't overclock locked Intel CPUs and I don't remember there being an unlocked i3 that uses DDR3. Downclocking the RAM is an option if you run into what you suspect to be RAM-related stability issues.
