Problem with new display

Recently I bought LG 23MP68VQ-P. Connected via HDMI (also tried DVI). Specifications say that 75Hz are supported, but I can only choose 60Hz. Now I use iGPU Intel HD Graphics 4600 (i5 4670K), so I forced to use 75Hz instead of 60Hz via Intel panel.

Then my problems started. When I try to start almost any game (Unreal Tournament (New), Survarium, BF3 or Minecraft Story Mode) I get black screen and sometimes 'No Signal'. Sometimes games ran without any problems and sometimes I need even push reset button to get display again.

Using 60Hz everything works as it should.

My last display was Samsung 2494HS, it worked without any problems for like six years. For last few weeks I used my oldie Samsung 931C @ 75Hz without any problems also.

Could my LG 23MP68VQ-P be defective? Or there are other problems?

My Specs:
Cooler Master G600 600W
MSI Z87-G43
i5-4670K
Crucial 2 x 4GB DDR3
SSD and SSHD

So, everything's solved for now. Few weeks ago I got another same LG monitor, but it had same problems. A week ago I got AMD RX 480 and everything solved itself. No more "No Signal" or black screens. 75Hz was in the list (no need to force it). I think, it's safe to say, that there were problems with Intel HD drivers.

I can't find any incompatibilities, but it seems many people have issues using HDMI with 75Hz. I'd try using another connection if possible. DisplayPort and even DVI seem to handle high refresh rates better than HDMI in general.

Interesting thing is via display's options I can toggle FreeSync On and then 75Hz works as I mentioned before (with bugs), but if I turn FreeSync off I even can't get 75Hz to run, get 'No Signal' error immediately. I tried DVI cable, but FreeSync bar is greyed out and same problems.

Tried with my office computer via D-Sub (GeForce 9800GT) cable, no luck at all. Can't get 75Hz work.

FreeSync only works over DisplaPort and some HDMI ports. So it's not surprising that it didn't work over DVI.

I can't think up any reasons why it wouldn't work, other than faulty hardware. I'd contact the display manufacturer to see if they can resolve it.
