Problem with New GPU

Hi,
I bough and installed an Asus Gtx 970 strix today,but what bad is i'm not getting 60 frames in 1080p everything maxed
Also,i'm noticing in Afterburner,my memory and core clocks are very low.

What could be the problem?

CPU- 4670k (stock)
G.skill-8gb 1600mhz

make sure the mb has the newest bios file and chipset drivers to rule out a bios bug. in nvidia control info panel. make sure power setting is for one screen and full power.

From the looks of it, you took that screenshot while idle at desktop, at least the clocks are normal idle clocks.

As to running everything maxed at 1080p 60 FPS, that would depend on the game engine, some like Witcher 3 and Crysis 3 requires more performance than you have.

It would help if you post what games you believe should run better than you experience with everything maxed, also post the level of AA and whether v-sync is enabled or not, plus the FPS you get in those.

I can't seem to find the info regarding that,no performance section or anything like that.

the games i've tried are Witcher 3,GTA 5, Crysis 3

The games were Witcher 3,GTA 5,crysis 3 etc,nothing goes anywhere near 60 Frames at 1080p 60Hz
V-sync was off in all.

60 fps no, playable 30 fps yes.

Everything Ultra in AC unity Anti-Aliasing is TXAA getting 45-50 FPS.
Also,my OS is Win 7,if that helps.

that sound about right, if you want 60+ for all 980 or even a 980 ti level.

I'm noticing that when im moving my cursor on screen the cursor stops for less than a second,playing video on youtube,the video stops for a bit then moves,in games aswell FPS suddenly drops everytime when this happens and my game like stops for a bit,what could be behind this issue?
