ok recently i got my zotac ZT-96TES3P-FSP vbios flash with nvflash(v5.88) but keep receive error message "error: no nvidia adapters found". thus i did test the mod bios on nibitor 5.4 and it seems alright(no voltage/timing mod mod, just downclock from 675/1650/900 to 550/1300/900 due to the overheat/power saving issue) can anyone tell me what is wrong with it? is zotac's bios write protected? thank you.

PS: does anyone have that graphic card? never have such troublesome card like this....

isn't v5.88 the newest version available these day?

plus i kinda thinking that is it the problem that the bios is write protected....since it did not show any of gpu specification when boot into dos mode with my usb drive. when i seem the tutorial on youtube the person's dos did show the specification in boot. so any idea?

PS: i used nibitor 5.4 to edit the rom, thus it did not have vendor for zotac so i selected nvidia as brand. does that matter?

A Google search should have cleared if it is up to date. Is this the only card in your rig if not take out the other card(s). I only flash my cards separately.

sadly i just sold my gigabyte gv-9800gt becuase of it was dual slot card 🙁 plus i dont have spare pcie on my board either......

oh i thought you were recommanding me to flash that 9600gt with another gfx....

well i didnt tried to frash on that card without use other card. and it didnt work

OK I will try this out my self tomorrow and I will give you some steps on how to do this since it has been a good 4 months since the last time I did this.

no dont need to, i finally figure out that was my mainboard's bios who cause the error. which i switch the setting in chipset/igp from preg/pci to pci/preg and then it worked, but it came with huge price as i currupt my 8500gt's bios by tried to test it 🙁

nontheless said, the vbios flash is painful for people whose in first time ..........

Ouch that is why I am very slow about bios mods. Going to practice since I am getting rusty on a 8400gs.

well tha's what people said "no pain, no gain". and i finally manage my 9600gt's temp around 39~42c with passive stock "cool looking" heatsink. while killed my 8500gt i still laern what's about flashing gfx bios. i guess i'd need to find a way to fix my old little 8500gt since the warrenty is expired for a while...

update: so far i'm goggling how to repair vbios.....
