Problem with PC fans and led on cpu cooler

I've been having some problems with my PC lately, and thought I could ask for help here. Sometimes, my fans randomly start speeding up to >1000rpm when i do little things like starting up google chrome. This is very loud compared to the normal (around 500rpm). I can see this in Corsair Link (which monitors the fan speed and controls the rgb led on my cpu cooler). This led on my h100i v2 cpu cooler has been less bright than usual. It varies from totally not bright to normal brightness according to the load of my pc. It seems to have some relation to the fans speeding up because if my fans speed up, the led becomes brighter. I tried cleaning my (there's almost no dust in my pc right now) and i tried reinstalling Corsair Link
So in short: my fans speed up a lot when i start up programs, and the led on my cpu cooler has a very low brightness, except for when my fans speed up.

These are my specs:
Fans: Case fans from the NZXT S340 Elite
Motherboard: Asus Z270E
CPU cooler: Corsair H100i v2

2 Pin fan speed cannot be controlled. it's always constant.

3 Pin fan speed can be controlled by varying the voltage with a fan controller device or motherboard itself with bios or software. But they can't be controlled as good as 4-pin.

4 Pin fan speed can be controlled exactly by varying the pulse and are usually used for the CPU heatsink/cooler fans.

Any fan connected to PSU will operate at max.

By the way, the fans don't make a weird sound or something, just a normal fan sound but it is VERY loud.

They are supposed to be loud at high RPM. Corsair H100i fans are 37.7 dB at max. Those are as loud as Intel's stock fans (maybe more, Intel is usually around 30dB). People usually buy fans below 25dB. You really should replace them with something quiet.

I have two 3-pin case fans and two 4-pin CPU fans. The CPU fans are in an adapter which makes the two 4-pins one 3-pin.
The two case fans are on the back and on top of my case. The two CPU fans are on the front and push air trough the radiator of my CPU cooler.
It might work. You never know unless you try.
 

Okay thank you, I will try it tomorrow and if it doesnt work well enough I can buy fans that are more quiet.
 

I put my case fans on the front of my case with the radiator, and one of the h100i v2 fans is now in the case (can't have two, cable is too short) and recorded a sound test (https://youtu.be/B-LbBjAz4Pw) of that ONE h100i v2 fan going to 100% (i did that in the bios). Is that sound normal? The two case fans that are on my radiator now are always on 100% and only a little bit hearable. The difference between 40% and 100% is almost inaudible. I will keep this setup untill I buy better fans. Do you think it is good to have only 1 outtake fan?
 
Wow, I have six fans always working at max and all of them combined don't become that load. At least with a headphone, I can hear my mouse or keyboard buy not anything on my case that's 2-3 feet away. But I miss it, gave me a powerful feeling like a good engine sound.

There's usually no problem. If the radiators are pushing the air out of your system, you can turn it into intake fan. If the radiators are pushing air in, then keep it as it is.

Also, remember that for fans RPM is not important. Air Flow (CFM) and Air Pressure (mmH20) is important for performance.
For case fans, use the ones with high Air Flow (60+CFM).
For Radiator/Heatsink fans, use ones with high Air Pressure (3.0+ mmH20) to push air through them.
Pay attention to noise as well. Less then 25dB is best. Below 20dB is nearly inaudible.
 

I will be using two case fans that push the air out (1 on top, 1 on back) and two fans on the front pushing air from outside the case trough the radiator. Can i get away with two case fans that have 50CFM and two radiator fans that have 2.5 mmH20 for example? Or is what you said the edge? By the way, right now the airflow in my case is very bad. The thermal glass on the side gets pretty hot (can't touch it with my finger for 10 seconds when gaming) and the air that comes out is also very hot (probably because the heat isn't spread into two fans but in one) So I definitely need some new fans.

It's generally a bad idea for the hot air to come inside through radiators if you don't have very good air circulation.

You can get away with it if you position your fans correctly. Your radiator should push air out.

How about you use the top and rear to push air inside by reversing them, and the radiator to push air outside from front by reversing them. Thay way, inside the case wouldn't get hot.

Remeber, fans can push air in both directions and they move air towards wherever their STICKER is.
It's also recommended to fill out any fan position you find. Two of my fans are cheap server grade fans (50CFM,1.0mmH20) spinning for the lolz because it's better than nothing.
 

Shouldnt there be pushed cold air trough the radiator? If I reverse the fans, doesnt that make the airflow worse? Its often said that front/bottom should be intake and rear/top should be outtake.
I have four positions for fans. Two on the front, one on top and one on the back.
 

I will try that tomorrow. The weather is also just very hot right now here, so I think when it gets less hot, my PC will be a bit better. So if it doesnt change a lot, I can either just wait for "better" weather or buy new fans. Today I put it how it was and fixed the cpu fans on 50% with corsair link (thats where it gets less audible) and my PCs temps dont seem that bad (but when i feel at the outtake fans and the sidepanel its pretty hot so i guess thats where the heat goes).
 

The temps are good now, and the case doesnt feel hot anymore (the weather cooled down a lot).

That's good. It's still quite hot here but nothing that the AC can't fix it. When buying any component later on like fans, always read the specs. Companies just put some advertising words like gaming, military grade or etc without the performance to back it up (unfortunately most people don't understand technical specifications with a popular one being the difference between 1MBps = 8Mbps for internet speed).

Im 15 years old and I dont have AC, just a standard fan that blows the air trough the room.
 
The problem: my AIO cooler for my CPU was broken (pump, probably). This made it cool horribly, so the fans had to go full spinning. It was even worse because the weather was very hot. I have a new (air) cooler right now and it works perfectly. Thanks for the help!
