Problem with unbearable lag spikes in lol

Hello out there

I have lag spikes while playing league of legends my ping is varying between 27 to 250+,. My framerate is also a bot unstable, I used to run it at about 130-144 on my 144 hz monitor.
I have just updated net framework and my graphics driver to see if it solved the problem. These lag spikes started about one month ago (few days after I got my new monitor). The only programs I have installed since then were Autodesk Inventor, Chemsketch and some updates firefox, flash player and java.

My internet specs are as follows: (http://www.speedtest.net/)
ping: 3 ms
Download: 20.31 Mb/s
Upload: 18.62 Mb/s

My hardware:
motherboard: 990fx extreme9
Processor: AMD 8320 8-core
GPU: 7970 vapor-x sapphire edition
Lol stored on: Vector 150 SSD
Monitor: BenQ XL2411

Im running my internet over wireless USB, which I have been using for 18 months now.

Something on your wireless network is probably eating all your bandwidth. Try plugging straight into your wireless router and see if the issue goes away.

I am pretty sure connecting my PC directly to the router will not fix my problems. The problems only exist on my desktop and only on League of legends. Should I try to perform a clean install of my gpu driver?

Now I have reinstalled my gpu driver and connected my pc directly to the router problem is still not fixed. Any ideas?

Open CMD prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns

Then set your DNS on your Ethernet or wireless adapter to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Follow this guide but use the IPs I provided.

Which servers do you connect to in LoL (US,EU,etc)

A lot of people have been reporting high ping times on the EU servers. May be on LoL's end.

hmm, yes I have been browsing some other threads reporting similar problems with no finite conclusion. It might just be it. I guess I will take a longer break from lol untill then thank you for your responses.

Have tried it before, guess I can do so, unless the long dark comes out with a new update (gotta test it out).
Anyway thank you for your support. I guess I will check back on lol in a month or so :lol: meanwhile I hope someone might report rito for me while I am gone 😀

It would seem that the autodesk application manager caused this problem. I solved it by random. Now lol is running stable again fps 139-144 and ping 25-26, NO LAG!!!! 😀
