I use a wireless connection are it periodically becomes extremely slow on one computer (the other computers on the wireless connection are not similarly affected). I have connected my computer to a wired connection and the problem stopped. Also, I recently changed router and the problem persists, which leads me to believe it must be the wireless adapter card.
I have scanned my computer for malware and checked for driver updates. I know that the wireless connection is strong since the internet alternates constantly between strong and weak.
My ISP is Virgin Media and I'm paying for 30Mbps which I do receive. My wireless adapter is a TP-Link WDN4800 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006PMX964/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
So what's the problem?
