Ok so here goes... Basically I have 2 monitors, and I run one game on the secondary one in windowed mode, and sometimes I want to pull another game up in fullscreen mode on the main monitor. However, when I do this the game on the secondary monitor will freeze up, or it will blank out and pop up an error message saying an error occurred resetting D3D click ok to retry.
Now here's the trouble/weird part, I know what most threads say on this is just run the primary game as borderless windowed etc. but I have Gsync, so I don't want to run the game that way(as gsync only works in fullscreen mode). But also the weird part, If i switch the primary game to windowed borderless and then load into a level and switch it back to fullscreen once in game, about 90% of the time this will fix my issue and allow my primary game to fullscreen and the secondary game displays fine on the other monitor. In the odd 10% of times this doesnt work, I just put it back to borderless windowed, and back to fullscreen again and usually that does it.
So really what this comes down to is, my PC and hardware etc IS CAPABLE of running both fine with the primary one fullscreened, but i'd like to get around the requirement of toggling the fullscreen setting to make it do that, and also I want to understand why that fixes it/why it doesnt work in the first place.
I can't seem to find a lot of insight on this, as most people asking are fine switching to borderless windowed.
If anyone has any idea please let me know!
