Problems with DELL 3007WFP 30" Monitor- VERY Distorted IMAGE!

I got my monitor today from dell the 30" one. I unhooked the DVI cable from my 27" and hook it up to my 3007 monitor and I get a crazy image. All the colors are all over the place ...VERY DISTORTED.......kind of like back in the days when we had a bad VCR or BAD VHS tape with verticals lines scrolling up and down.

I then hook it up to my 27" and it looks fine. Could it be that the 27" don't like the DVI cable?


I went out and bought a dual link cable today. The one I hooked up yesterday is the same DVI cable I had with my 27" monitor.

Anyone have any ideas????

The cable is definitely a dual link, right?

Bleh!! I was using the DVI cable that came with my 27" monitor since the 30" was refurbished and did not come with ANY cables at all.

Bought the Dual Link and WALLAH!!! Problem fixed!

Super happy with my new monitor!
