Question Problems with DVI

I replaced my CPU. I plugged all of my cords back in. My display was showing a "no signal" error when I plugged in my DVI and turned the PC on. I had to switch to HDMI to be able to use my pc. On Nvidia control panel, it shows my display as "1 of 2" but I only have 1 monitor. I checked the box to "use this display" on both, and tried to use DVI display. Upon doing so, the screen came up, but everything was distorted. Could I have partially unplugged something when I changed the CPU? the graphics card is working properly. Could I have damaged the DVI port on my graphics card?

edit: I went to my display settings on windows, and chose to "only display on 2". The screen went totally blue and said "no signal detected"

If it's detecting two monitors, you're connected to both DVI and HDMI?

Had you selected the correct input on your monitor? Not all will auto-detect (or setting can be disabled).

Please post full specs, including monitor.
I selected the DVI input. what I said in my edit is what happens when I do so. Everything worked fine, with zero issues, before I changed the CPU.
