Hi guys, I bought an external network card and it says that it's rated for 1000Mb/s but it's limited to 100Mb/s.

I've got 1Gb/s internet and I don't know why it doesn't work at full speed.

The cable that I've got is CAT 5E and it's connected to a ZTE F660 router. (I've tried every port)

The name of the card is TP LINK TG3468:
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/adapter/tg-3468/#specifications

I've set from the Speed and Duplex at 1Gb/s Full duplex but it still runs at 100Mb/s.

Also the cable is 20M long.

Anyone knows why it doesn't work at 1Gb/s?
Thank you.

I bought the cable at a local IT store, it's not flat and I haven't disabled the network in the bios. I'll try that.
Poor quality cables are everywhere. Moving your PC so that you can use a short cable for testing, purchasing a cable from another shop or having the original shop verify your cable is what I would recommend for next steps.
