I have an old ASUS S550CB laptop running Windows 10 with latest patches and latest BIOS version.
All of a sudden an error occurs. If I open the Control panel and then Devices and Printers I see a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark at the icon of the computer. I run a troubleshooter and get the message "INTEL Dynamic Platform & Thermal Driver are having trouble with a driver".
I let the computer try to do correction and reboot, but after the reboot the error is still there. I ran sfc (it found some errors but stated that they were corrected) and DISM which found nothing amiss.
Any ideas?
Yes I know it's an old laptop and maybe it should be replaced, but it is used by my wife and all she does is run MS Word and so it seems overkill to buy a new one.
