So i recently bought a i5 7600k and rn its total garbage. I cant play games that the same Fps as i could with my fx-9370 amd series cpu. I think i must have done something wrong.
My setup is
I5 7600k @4.0ghz
16gb corsair ram.
Z170x gaming 3 motherboard
4gb nvidia geforce gtx 970 msi
The problem is that i cant play games at the same graphics as i could with my old shitty cpu. I have no idea why! The power settings are turned to high performance (max), i've changed around in nvidia settings to graphics are set on the gpu instead of the motherboard but nothing i get from the tech guys that i bought it from seems to help. So in a last ditch effort i come here to this amazing forum of great knowledge.
The problem is that the cpu just like maxes out on almost every game i play. Its not that i have something in the background running but just overwatch by itself takes up 92% off my cpu usage. When i first installed drivers and stuff like that i also downloaded intel extreme tuning software and when i opened it up the first time most of the settings were set on max.
Usually this cpu is not compatible with my motherboard unless u change some things in the bios wich the tech guys at the store did for me once i got the motherboard.
If anyone of u have any solutions please help me! The last thing they told me to try was reinstalling windows but i dont think that its the problem since its the games that take up all the cpu usage.
