Here is the thing I just recently installed AMDS APU which is an A10 7870k and I keep getting blue screens it's been happening for about 4 days now. Now I have 1 stick of 8 GBs of RAM @ 1600mhz would that cause blue screens because I know 2100mhz is more ideal for running APUs . And also I'm using a gtx 960 aside with the apu. I also have typed in all the codes and tried hot fixes nothing is working. also all drivers for the APU are installed and are from AMDS website. I thought that maybe since this is an APU im just not configuring things correctly and that's why i'm getting blue screens. I also took it to geek squad and they said everything looks to be configured fine. Do you think the APU is defective? It's brand new so it would be a factory defect if it is

its at a constant 30 C degrees. my psu is a 430 WATT bronze, corsaire.

I'm getting the values from my bios and I did not try over drive but i did a 2 hour stress test and it was at about 40 Degrees C constantly but on normal 30 C.

So what your saying potential problems may be because of my PSU not having enough power?

I was stress testing when on windows then after I went into the bios to check voltage.

Ok so you think I should upgrade my PSU. With the all the specs running below would a 600 watt be good or is that still under powered if it is then what wattage would you recommend?

motherboard: A88XM-A
GPU: GTX 960 STRIX
CPU: AMD A10 7870K
Harddrive: standard 500 GB
RAM: 1 stick of 8GBs 6GBs usable@1600MHZ
OS windows 7 pro 64 bit
Case: corsaire SPEC 3

CX 430 and GTX 960 w/AMD APU should not have any power issues. I believe you have a temperature issue that is causing the PSU/GPU to have issues. If you want to, you can remove the GTX 960 and see how the system performs in normal tasks. This would put all of the tasks onto the APU and if you have no issues with the system w/o the GTX 960, then you probably have a PSU issue, or possibly a really bad temperature issue.

Tom's GTX 960 power consumption values ~85 watts gaming and 120 watts in torture/max limits.

* ~95 watts max for A10 7870k
* ~120 watts max for GTX 960
* ~30-50 watts, or so for the rest of the system

So about ~250-300 watts max for the system. Sounds like maybe a weak/failing PSU.

Provide the voltage figures so I can tell.

exactly what lunyone had down actually so Yeah I guess maybe it's a overheating issue my gpu gets real hot I know that. I only have one fan running in my case my motherboard only has on fan channel plugin.

Can a overheating system cause blue screens? that's my main issue.

I also appreciate your help also Thanks a bunch!
