Problems with my new monitor

Hello guys, I have a huge problem that I need help with... First off, I took a new monitor lg-24mp88hv-s .... It started lagging for 2 mins with GTA 5 and other big processes.... and worked properly after.... But now, there is no lagging and I'm not able to open the task manager, the search button at the top right corner in win 8.1 ... Btw, I don't have a genuine Windows right now.... It says to activate it but I can't do it.... I thought it might be a virus and downloaded Kaspersky antivirus which I'm not able to open either.... Moreover, my internet download speed gives at max 500 kbps to my pc ,but has around 4-5mbps with my mobile or laptop.... And also I'm not able to open Netflix..... Plus, the monitor came with a hdmi cable.... But my pc doesn't have a hdmi input....it has VGA cable .....I'm using the old one which I have connected to the monitor..... I never had any of these problems with my old monitor....

Where did yo get your copy of Windows, is it a legit copy you did not activate? Or did you download it from somewhere?

None of your issues seem monitor related, what you should do is install a clean proper Windows copy and then the drivers for your system. Only thing that may be due to the new monitor is slower gaming speeds if your new monitor is higher resolution and your games are running at that higher resolution.
