Problems with new r920x

HI I just recently purchased an upgrade to my old graphics card and whenever I try to boot my pc it goes to black screen almost immediately after starting up. It will boot up totally fine in safe mode

There are also times where it goes to blue screen giving video tdr failure atikmpag.sys.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
