I also have a 700w power supply. I noticed it doesn't say that there.

My birthday is coming up and I was thinking about treating myself to an upgrade so I was wondering what I could get.

I was hoping to be able to run dayz with at least medium graphics, in 1900x1080, with around 60+ frames. Right now I'm at the lowest with 20 frames.

I wouldn't mind switching to Nividia either. Infact I'd probably prefer it.

As well, if anyone knows why when I activate crossfire and I get -less- fps than when I run one of my cards could you share your wisdom?

Yeah, 780 is good too. Just aim for custom cooled models, the usually come already overclocked (and covered by warranty) and are simply better than stock.

What is your budget so that we can recommend a GPU for you ?

DEFINITELY upgrade the graphics card if you were going to decide between cpu and gpu. your cpu is decent already bruh, i have an i3-2120 paired with a gtx 760(O.C) and i can run bf4 max 70fps average. that just proves how vital a gpu is in pc gaming.

Graphics, my good sir... graphics. Video cards will always be the go-to for increasing game performance, unless your CPU would bottleneck it. You have a very good processor that should not have that problem for many years.

I'm using an i5 2500k paired with R9 290 btw.
