I'm just curious, is there a PC really has achieved 7.9 for the CPU (Windows 7 Experience Index)? What are the specs?

Note: I also know that the WEI score can be hacked, so do not try here. Also, please do not discuss "My score is only 7.8" (too many people who have it).

Running my i7-3930K at either Stock or 4.8GHz yields the 7.8.

RAM & CPU WEI:
Either the SB-E or FX CPU's are affected by lower than CPU rated DRAM Frequencies. Example, if you run a SB-E with DDR3-1333 then you'll lose 200MHz from the Turbo, or in other words it will limit the Turbo to 3.6GHz vs same SB-E setting the DRAM Frequency to DDR3-1600 or above yields the rated 3.8GHz Turbo. Similar issues/scores are common to many other CPUs.

7.9 is done with 6/8 core cpus and extreme overclocks with ln2. 7.8 you need hyper threading, 7.7 is oc'd 2500k/3570k, my stock 3570k gets a 7.6 but oc'd 4.2 and up it gets a 7.7 not even at 5ghz could i get atleast a 7.8

All 7.9 except my CPU =( I got 7.8 score with it OC'd to 4.7ghz with my voltage at 1.285

I Achieved 7.9 for CPU, using AMD bulldozer FX-8 8150 8 cores @ 3.6GHz (cooled by corsair H60)

Ram is 7.8 (8GB corsair vengeance, 4 x 2GB)

Graphics is 7.4 (AMD sapphire HS7750 (the fan-less one, its a silent PC)

HDD is 7.9 (OCZ agility 3 250GB ssd)

All in ASUS sabertooth 990FX

and as previously mentioned this is a SILENT pc, no noise at all, in a corsair obsidian case...hence no over-clock on the bulldozer....yet 😉

(i might be mis-remembering the other scores, im at work now, the scores are for my home PC. but the CPU one is accurate)

it IS possible!
