Program that hides windows version..

I've seen it before, and now I can't find it. It was either a program or control panel or something that would trick certain apps into running by hiding the windows version, or telling the app a different version was running. Anyone heard of this?

its in the registry, have to use it sometimes to make XP take 2000 drivers, Hkey_local_machine\softeware\microstwt\winnt\currentverison I think from memory
