Programs to test system on Linux

Just put together a new computer and want to test the memory and cpu temps. I usually do this in Windows but I don't have a license right now. So I am hoping there are somewhat equivalent programs I can run in Ubuntu. If you have any suggestions, they will be helpful. Thank you.
 
Doesn't seem like there is a really good all-in-one program like Aida64 on Linux. There's a free program called Hardinfo in the Ubuntu software center, think I'll give that a go. Thanks guys.
 
We have crated a terminal stress utility to try and to exactly that. It is call s-tui :) . You can run a stress test from the inner options and see a graphical view of you frequency/utilization/temperature.
