Question Projector no signal on one HDMI port

I have an Epson Home Cinema 8350 projector. I last used it a couple years ago and it worked fine. Today I tried it again and one of the two HDMI ports says no signal when I connect my computer. I tried two laptops and two cables, all work on HDMI 2 but not HDMI 1. The computer recognizes my projector correctly even with the HDMI 1 port and says it's outputting to it, but the projector doesn't receive the signal. To me it sounds like a hardware issue, but is there anything obvious I'm missing that I could look at? Thank you
