Promise Problem

I have ASUS A7V KT-133 motherboard tha supports ATA/100.
My hard drive is Maxtor Diamond 30Gb 7200rpm and ata/100.
My probem is that my A7V detects ata/100 for a long time.....it was longer before I installed newer ata/100 driver. My Promise BIOS version is 2.01 and what does build 28 mean? My friend has A7V133 , same BIOS version and biuld 35, and his A7V133 detects much faster. I downloaded the latest driver..and it said biuld 33(which is NOT 28). Can anybody explain me how do I make run faster? Is ther a BIOS update for Promise card?PLEASE HELP!

Yes? Where? I can only find drivers from www.asus.com. Where can I update my Promise BIOS? How? Help

Since you have an onboard ATA-100 controller, you can't use the promise BIOS upgrade, you'll have to upgrade it trought your motherboard BIOS upgrade. I think that the promise BIOS upgrade is only good for add-on cards. Is our motherboard BIOS as the latest version?
