I back up my movies to floppy disks, you zip them up and span the zip file across 1000 floppy disks. The pro's are i have found a use for all the redundant floppy disks. The cons are it takes a long time.
But an external hdd will work too and the only con is you have to have it plugged it, where the internal drive is always plugged in.
No, there is no difference.
My movie and music drive is an external, attached to a PC on the other side of the room. Playing movies to the TV from that PC, or to my main PC on my desk....zero difference.
Hello. So I got the HDD, 2TB elements and it's great. However, should I have gotten Passport Ultra? It cost like only 3 dollars more and I the password encryption might've been useful?. However, I use the drive for media only.
That would be a personal decision and no one can answer that but you. I don't keep anything personal on my portables so encryption isn't necessary for me.
