I have just repaired my pc by upgrading to a new motherboard. Mouse and keyboard are not working. Both are getting power supply light but not working at all. I tried to go into bios by clicking All functions key/Delete/esc to make some changes but unable to reach in bios. Windows 8.1 comes into the picture and pc gets locked on windows login screen. Somebody Please help.

Might have been able to help better if you mentioned which model of motherboard you got.

Some motherboards only have basic USB support on a few of the rear USB ports. Usually the USB 2.0 ports. The USB 3.0 ports in motherboards of a specific age range requires OS drivers, which is why they won't work before boot.

If you cannot resolve the issue by plugging your mouse keyboard into any rear USB ports that are recognized, and your motherboard has a PS2 connector, then get a USB-PS2 adapter and connect your keyboard and mouse that way.
